For high voltage DC applications where inrush currents and voltage transients can be problematic, the SCC Series of contactor controllers joins with the contactor or relay to create a hybrid switch. This hybrid switch removes damaging spike voltages on the external contactor during turn-off, while handling inrush currents up to 40A and limiting voltage transients to 500V.
